CA - max dose 20 mU/min
At the last hospital I worked at, policy was 20mu/min was the highest we could go unless we had a physician's order overriding this. We had several doctors who routinely asked us to go up to 30 mu/min. To go over the 20mu/min limit, we also needed to have an IUPC so we could assess and document adequacy of labor. (RN could place IUPC if certified)

20 mu/min. If you hit 20, and the doc wants to go higher, they have to write a progress note and an order to go higher. I have gone as high as 36 mu/min. Don't ask. I wasn't happy about it.
