yup, i somehow managed to do it. i've watched soo many people over the last 3 years here on allnurses start excelsior, take their tests, pass the cpne, graduate, pass their boards, and go bout their lives as rns...and here i am...
i've procrastinated in the worst way possible with this program..no excuse is good enough. ya'll know the deadline to complete the nursing concepts under the old cirriculum is sept 30..i have one test left..nc6..i am scheduled for this friday, sept 18 at 11am..
i got a d on this test in july and i've been so nerve wracked and scared of flunking again that i've been counter productive and not studying like i should...so here's my question: if i flunk this last test and miss the deadline, what happens to me?! what will be added to my requirements, what's this fcca thing, etc? any info would be helpful for just in case i find myself on the opposite end of relieved/happy friday....
thank you guys
A magnet hospital in Burlington wanted to hire me until we discovered I need to complete clinical hours out of VT first. I was told to call back when I was eligible for VT licensure.
WTH? I don't get it...you passed the freakin boards...that means you're competent, right? Gawd...Indiana is okay with Excelsior for now, but I still worry that that'll change before I get done with the CPNE...sheesh..that stinks.
I take LifeSpan 2 next Thursday. It is my last one, for I am retaking it too. Any pointers. Have hit a road block in studying. Just cannot get in the groove and I have to work this weekend, so that cuts two days off of study time. Trying to get it done by end of month so I can make sure I get old version of FCCA, not the computer version just in case it is ready for October 2009. I have Study group 101 & Excelsior practice test. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are you also using the content guide from Excelsior? It's a great outline for studying..and the practice exams help soooo much...they go right along with the test and give you a good idea of key areas to study...good luck...try not to wig like I did lol..let us know how you do okay? we're rooting for you!!
Words are very powerful. Change your fail to pass by speaking it. Tell yourself that you will pass this exam. Speak to your destiny positively. You are the person that matters. So as a man/woman thinketh so is he/she. Tell yourself flunking is not an option. Be encouraged, I pray that you will do well. I need you to pass this exam so when it's all over we can say, we are registered nurses.
