There's been a lot of rants and vents about nursing, but let's focus on the odd tasks that make you happy. Maybe you love post-OP patients or CRRT or giving bed baths...what's something that makes you happy?
Personally, I love enteral feedings. I love placing NGs and Dobhoffs. I love Kangaroo pumps, I love crushing meds, and flushing the line with 30 ccs. I love hearing the whoosh when I check placement q 4 h. It's my favorite thing!

I work in skilled nursing, and I got to insert a Foley catheter for a really hard patient because she was contracted, legs wouldn't bend, she had neurological issues, etc. All of the nurses were so proud, which made me proud.
Not really a skill, but...
I also work as an adolescent psych nurse, and I really love it when I get to talk with the kids. There was one that left a note saying that I was her favorite nurse. I felt good. I felt like I made some sort of difference.
I'm happy I picked this field.
