I'm sure if I sat here I could think of something crazier than this but one thing that comes to mind was the lady who as a child in Honduras stuck a tamarind shell up her nose and couldn't get it out. Fast forward about a year, and her mom starts smelling something something foul.....takes her to a local healer and they get the offending tamarind shell.
She comes to us 20 years later and lo and behold STILL has bits and pieces of the darn thing still in there and (big shocker here) lots of nasal congestion and sinus issues.
That's definitely not the crazist or funniest, but it's still made us all go, "huh?"

EEEEEwwwwwww!!!
I have not been a nurse long, but this is the funniest so far. Pt was a LOL that was confused after surgery. I went in the room about 0200 to check on her. I did not turn the lights on. I was rearranging her blankets. There was a brown log in bed with her and brown stuff all over her hands. I'm thinking OH great she has **** in the bed and smeared it all over. So I go find someone to help turn her and get all new linens. I get a tub of warm soapy water. We both get in her room and turn the lights on. I lift the blankets off her and guess what I found!! A chocoalate covered Oreo!! I was so relieved and laughed about that for days.

That is good and sweet at the same time. She was like a little kid.
