What's the benefit of self reporting to tpapn?

Nurses Recovery

I'm wondering what the benefit is to self reporting to tpapn, versus waiting to see what your employer plans to do with you, and letting them third party refer you to tpapn if that's what they decide.

They suspended it because the program never told them I was set up with them already. After many! phone calls, voice mails and me possibly nearly needing bail money (that's a joke) it appears to have been repaired. For the moment I will keep my job. At least until the next time somebody doesn't do their job. Forgive me for not trusting anything about this whole process, but after the 3-ring circus that it has been, who would?

That is also how I read your story. :)

I had one major screw up that was in no way my fault and a second that was almost a screw up that was also not my fault. I get that people make mistakes but when those mistakes put your livelihood on the line...

That's part of what makes me so angry about it. The response is like "oops, our bad." I have sweat blood trying to put things right and get my life back. The really tiny hospital that I work at, that was willing to give me a chance, gets very affected when we are down a nurse. Thank G-d they are understanding about the issue, because they don't have to be.

I think I'm going to put this thread down for now. Rehashing it will only keep making me upset. Thank you all for your input and listening/reading my venting.

I am so happy for you that they finally got their ish together and your job is intact! What a relief but yes I live with the shadow of what they're capable of through no wrong doing of my own too. Does wonders for my anxiety problem I tell ya what lol! I just try to stay outta their way and hope they'll stay outta mine. now hopefully you'll have as smooth as sailing as is possible with them!
