What do you wear?

I was just wondering what all of you RNAC's/MDS Coordinators wear. Our dress code is business casual, but I honestly wouldn't mind wearing scrubs. In street clothes, I don't feel I'm easily identifiable as a nurse, even though I have my ID on. I know I could wear a lab jacket, but I'm just not fond of them. If I were the only MDS coordinator, I'm sure I could wear scrubs, but there are 4 of us, so we'd all have to be the same....and the others don't like scrubs.

are you kidding? one of the reasons some of my nurses became nurses was so that they wouldn't have to worry about what they wear to work.

seems like an odd reason to become a nurse...;)

well we wear our sense of humor when we come to work .....;)

Scrubs all the way. :D

Business casual. Khaki pants or slacks, and a nice top. And clean, white comfortable sneakers, because you always have to be prepared to RUN!

Specializes in Med-Surg., Agency Nursing, LTC., MDS..

Scrubs, comfortable shoes, a casual comfy lab coat and a name badge. All whites are too "institutional" looking. Our residents like the colors and they say that they feel more comfortable, not just a room number.... ;):dncgcpd:

I work in a nursing home we wear scrubs

Specializes in MDS/ UR.

Regular clothes- casual dress.

I wear scrubs because they are comfortable, easy to pick out in the morning, and because I often step in and assist the CNAs when I see help is needed. I am the only MDS coordinator in a 109 bed facility, which is bad because I am always trying to catch up with the assessments -- but good because I run my own office and wear/do as I please. :wink2:
