What to wear to job interview?

Published

I have have a job interview this week, and have no idea what to wear. I usually wear a nice set of scrubs but was wanting to make sure that is appropriate. Please give me any advice. :)

I never wear scrubs to an interview! It is best to wear a professional outfit, like slacks and a blouse or a business suit (ex. something you would wear to church). This makes you look professional and mature.

Do not wear scrubs to a job interview. A business suit is always appropriate for interviews.

It would be better to make a list of what NOT to wear to an interview:

flip flops

shorts

sweats

jeans

tee shirts that expose belly flesh

The sad thing is I've seen all of these come onto my unit for an interview with the manager.

Scrubs/uniform would only be acceptble if the interview was scheduled right before your shift or right after one and even then, most interviewers would prefer to see you on a day when you aren't rushed.

Suit. A black business suit. If you don't have a suit, dress pants or a conservative skirt and a nice dress shirt. It's been very hot here lately, so when I went for my last interview, I wore a dress with a small covering cardigan that I could easily take off when I was done.
