I had to work from 10 PM of 31 to 6 AM of 1-1.
I couldn't stop to have a toast with my coworkers until 3,30 am.
I had to cover the ER, and help in peds. So, at 1,00 AM I'd to assist a cesarean, at 1,37 we've got a boy of 3,070 kg. Before bringing him to his father I'd to return to ER to assist the trauma-doc to attend a 12 year boy that lost the tip of his right second finger playing with pyrotechny. Besides, I had several pts with abdominal pain, one strait to surgery and another got interned for treatment. I was called to get two IV in two difficult pts of surg-med and an ECG. When I realized my shift was over.
I guess it's a good new year starting.
Biking home a dog followed me and start to cry when I got in... so, I return out to nourish him.
...finally, I'm just a nurse.
Happy new year to everyone!!!!
:kiss
I'm glad to hear some of y'all have started the new year on a positive note. I hope the momentum continues to build. For all others, I hope good fortune soon finds you.
As for me, now I can add that I sold my '96 Honda Civic for $4500. This is a huge stress relief for me on so many levels. Maybe tomorrow I will hear from my travel agency recruiter about an interview...all would be good with the world then.

As I did Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, I have to work New Years Eve and New Years Day. Thankfully tonight has been quite nice. When I first stepped on the unit I got a little meal voucher in my mailbox for working Christmas Eve. Then I found out that we received our paychecks. Well to my suprise I received 2...1 was my retention bonus and the other was my regular check. Then to add to that I noticed on my check that I received a $2.13/hr raise. I had no idea it was coming. When I was hired I was told I wouldn't get my first raise until 1.5 yrs because of where I fit in with experience on the pay scale. Quelle suprise!!!
I hope everyone is having as good of a day (or night) as I am. And I wish everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
