Ok, so sometimes I feel like there are so many things to remember, but what are the things you look at when you walk into a patient's room? Are there any little checklists you can have that are beneficial, I guess I am more of a list person and like those. I just wonder what you use until you are completely comfortable and can remember everything.
oops..not disgusted at the thread of conversation..hope I didnt offend! I just blurted out my frustration at myself not being able to pull up something I feel I should know by now..Mabey studying too long? probably.sorry if I sounded rude
Yes, you hurt my feelings! You KNOW how sensitive us "New Age" guys are, who had to walk uphill both ways to nursing school umpteen years ago through 14 feet of snow. OK, maybe not.
Leavemdead at 10 mikes/minute in a solution of 2mg/250ml.....
2mg = 2000 mcg
2000 / 250 = 8 mikes Leavemdead per ml of Leavemdead/NS solution
If you need 10 mcg/minute, 10 / 8 = 1.25 ml/minute
1.25 ml/minute * 60 minute/hr = 75 ml/hour IV flow rate.
Another way of setting it up is:
10 mcg/minute x 250 ml/2 mg x 1 mg/1000 mcg x 60 min/hr = 75 ml/hr
