List the type of automobiles that you all drive since you've gotten your nursing diploma/degree. Indicate your status as CNA, LPN or RN. :)

I'm a BSN nursing student that recently traded a thirsty diesel pickup for a fuel sipping diesel Jetta.

Specializes in SICU, ER, MEDICAL.

Hello-- I also am not a guy but I love my new car! My husband just got me a 2005 Mercury Montego Premier two months ago. It's a great car :)

Specializes in ER/Trauma.

As a student, I proudly get by on "Shank pony" (walking :chuckle )

Or I sometimes borrow my neighbour's bicycle (yes, even when there's two feet of snow. Have you ever biked through snow? You should - it's mad fun :))

But once I graduate, I'm buying a motorcycle! Not one of them crotch-rockets. A Triumph or a Harley it will be! :D

I'll probably buy a car for the groceries and stuff - but my choice for locomotion is not going to have more than two wheels :)

Specializes in Med-Surg, Trauma, Ortho, Neuro, Cardiac.

2001 Saturn LSeries, four door (too broke to buy a Camrey)

It's my 3rd Saturn and it's just fine

RN

Specializes in Nursing Assistant/ Army Medic, LVN.

YES I have - MANY times. You are SO right - It's a blast!!!! :rotfl: MUCH faster than WALKING

Sorry, having flashbacks.

Now back to your regularly scheduled thread...........

Here in the UK, I'm driving a Chrysler Voyager new from 2002 (Town and Country in the US? Or is it a Dodge Caravan - what is the difference anyway? Why do they look the same?).

Since gaining my RN in the 1980s have driven a number of cars of different nationalities - Fiat Panda (not explaining this one....moving swiftly on), Mini circa 1978 (British death trap, especially when up against vehicles with 12 wheels or more), Ford x 2 (both bloody awful - rubbish semi-British 'quality'), Triumph Spitfire (excellent British effort and good fun to drive), BMW (teutonically efficient and probably the best quality car I've ever owned),Toyota MR2 (rear engined madness), and Renault (nothing special, but very reliable French motor - as you get older you appreciate these things!). Size of family now dictates 7 seats! Have to spread the kids out to stop them arguing.

Moving to the US (AZ) this year or early 2006 - what should I be driving when I get to the US? Have been looking at the Town and Country/Dodge Caravan as I will need 7 seats, but am open to gaining experiences of other motors.

Any thoughts?

Regards

Dodge Dakota Quad Cab 4x4 with bedliner and tonneau cover bought new in 2002.

Wife drives 2000 Ford Windstar purchased on ebay (saved over $4.000). Picked it up in Charlotte on way back from family vacation to Florida. Runs fine.

I am driving a 96 Dodge Intrepid right now, I graduated from an ADN program in May, and decided I'd rather buy a house than a new car, I want to buy a 2006 Dodge Charger, but probably won't be able to afford it till 2008.LOL

I see you have an MBA.. Do you find the MBA to be helpful in your career as a nurse? Does it provide you opportunities to advance or are you still on the same level as others?
