Registration is Nov 15th - but not sure of the time. I'm trying to get into AP online and I know you have to be quick. So I want to be sitting with everything ready to go the second it opens.
I had a preferred list ready and was on at midnight but it kept telling me that the system was down. I kept trying every couple of minutes and finally gave up at 1am. I set the alarm and tried again at 5am and it went right the registration but all the classes were filled. I am really bummed about it. I have to retake so so I signed up for one on campus.
I am just taking the AP class and Micro and I will be done... What campus do you attend? If you attend SE, I STRONGLY recommend Lorraine Smith for AP 1 and 2.....I have a 100% average in that class. She really encourages her students and wants them to do well. She allows you to do a 5 minute presentation to add 5 points to your overall AVERAGE as many times as you would like until you get the grade you are satisfied with. Good luck! I suggest A. Lounsbury for English. She is awesome!
Darn - not all of the professors are listed yet. I dont see her name. Most of the classes that dont have professors listed are already filled.
I had a preferred list ready, but when I got up on Saturday morning at 5:45 to register, it was full, so I had to go with the other online AP class and then settle to take my lab on campus, but oh well I'm just glad to be registered again and getting back into the groove of things.
Did you go with Vu? I heard he (I think Vu is a he) is VERY hard.

Yes I had to go with Vu because the other class I wanted was full, I'm hoping it won't be to difficult because this is the second time I've taken AP and my first professor was easy I went the through both semester without a textbook because she did everything off her notes, I'm not too worried, I remember hearing the exact same thing about him when I was taking A&P the first time.
I took Dr. Vu for A&P I and II. I thought that he was great. Make not mistake. His class is very difficult, but he is a fantastic instructor, and he really wants you to learn. I have a Bachelor's degree, and I'm almost through with nursing school, and I can honestly say that out of all the professors that I have ever had (and I've had many), Dr. Vu is my absolute favorite and the one who taught me the most. I still drop by to see him once in a while even though I am 3/4 of the way through nursing school. Several of the other nursing students stay in contact with him as well. I know there are other professors that are easier, but I'm glad I had him. My sister took the class with me. I made an A in both A&P I and II, and my sister made B's in both classes, so it is possible to make A's and B's in his class if you study hard. The key to the good grade is to go into the science learning lab for help. Dr. Vu is great about coming by and helping if you need help. There were a lot of people in our class who whined about how hard the class was and how they didn't think he was fair because the class was too hard, but half of those people would miss a lot of classes or leave class to talk on the phone, chat with their buddies, etc., and they never went to the science learning center. Some of them were even busted cheating. I think you will learn a lot in Dr. Vu's class. Don't listen to what other people say about Dr. Vu. You will be learning from the best. Good luck with your class. :wink2:
Thank you Heloisea3, I enjoyed A&P when I took them almost 5 years ago, I'm not worried about him being difficult, I think sometimes I would rather have a difficult professor and learn the material then have an easy professor and not be prepared for nursing school. Like I said before my first A&P professor I didn't need the textbook because everything she tested on was over her notes so I didn't need the science learning lab or anything like that, but I'll be sure to go in if I need help with something. I'm just so happy to be back in the grove of things, even though I'm having to repeat classes that I've already taken ...but that's what I get for taking my science classes first and not leaving them until last so that I wouldn't hit that 5 year mark on the biology classes.
Thanks again for the advice! :nuke:

Vu is not a bad teacher, but he is VERY thorough...you will be expected to know your stuff inside and out. I took him....I originally got a B...but overall, he was great. He does want you to learn and is very personable...but if you do not have alot of time to invest in the science learning center, I would opt for another teacher.

Isn't it great to retake something you've already completed? I had A's in both A&P's I'm hoping for the same thing this time around, keeping my fingers crossed!
