I had a job interview that went very well on Monday. The nurse manager went as far as to tell me the job is mine if I want it and the nurse recruiter will be in contact with me to discuss pay and benefits. I realize this is a holiday week, but at what point should I call if I haven't heard from HR? I'm a little anxious because I really want the job.

What I would do is ask myself why I didn't send a thank you letter?
Oh, but I did. It was in the mail about an hour after the interview. :-)

I think I would have sent an e-mail. But if the thank you was in the mail, I guess wait until next week. Then if you don't hear, then call.

Tuesday, make the follow up call, asking if they needed anything more from you, etc.
If the job is really yours, you'll hear good things and probably apologies because of the holiday week messing up their schedules.
If it isn't, you'll get a line of "we'll get back to you if something opens up".
Best of luck to you!

Second all of this.
In the meanwhile, don't stop the job search until you do get that official offer from HR. Things can change and what nurse managers promise you at the interview may not be what their supervisors and/or HR want to do in the end.
Best of luck!

Some HR departments are slower than a turtle walking backwards. They have to go through "the process." Try to be patient...
Yeah, I thought about an email, but I didn't get her email address. This is a 46-bed community hospital. I'm wondering if she even has business cards...? She barely has an office. I have a good feeling about this, just impatient about getting out of my current blah situation and into a great one. Thanks for the advice! :)
