That is a rough question. I would be willing to just get $100, but am 90% sure that out of 10 people someone else will grab more. However I would rather get nothing than be the a$$ that took it all from everyone else. So I suppose I would sit back. Also depends on what you think of the people around you- if they were stinkers I would take at 200-300 and giggle as they whined. :) If they were friends or strangers I would not take anything.
well first i don't honestly believe that all of any 10 people would sit there and just wait it out, and split it.
giving that some consideration, (and allegedly i think too much ).
i would go for the grab at $400. once you hit $500, your chances of someone else getting in there is 50/50 or less.
oh well?
too much analytical thinking again
me :)

You are seated at a round table with nine other people you have never seen before (10 people counting yourself). In the center of the table is a glass bowl. A moderator walks into the room and drops a $100 bill into the bowl. She tells everyone that there are only two ways to win this game. Either everyone wins, or only one person will win. The minimum that can be won is $100. The maximum that can be won is $1,000.
Any person can stop the game at anytime by simply grabbing the money out of the bowl before anyone else grabs it first. Or, everyone can wait until all the money is deposited in the bowl, and by mutual agreement (no one grabbing the money), divide the money equally among everyone. There can be no discussion or talking to each other.
The moderator drops another $100 into the bowl.

This is a study that was conducted by an organizational sociologist. I'm curious what you all would do. The original study was done in person with real people and real money. You'll just have to pretend that the props are here in cyberspace.
