I used the ATI materials during my schooling and attended the Kaplan review following graduation. I personally found the Kaplan more beneficial versus the ATI. Kaplan helped me understand what the questions were asking and helped me understand why the answer is correct. I was amazed to see the change in my test scores from before the review and after! (A pretest is given at the beginning of class to compare.) I attended the 3 day in class review. Good Luck!

We had to use ATI and take the tests as part of my nursing program. I also took the Kaplan complete review course after school. I prefer Kaplan to ATI. They teach test taking strategies and they have content review videos to help you learn the most important topics which you are likely to see on the NCLEX. I passed with 75 questions.

Kaplan is the closest to the real test in question type and format. There q-bank and question trainer on-line looks just the same as the nclex screen.
Just go into the review understanding that kaplan does NOT review topics. You will end up going over most topics by going over the rationals about questions. It does not go over OB one day, Psych another etc. It is test question after test question after test question. If you do all the questions available you will end up doing a couple of thousand.
If you get Kaplan complete, you get a course review book that covers what you can expect to see on the NCLEX. Also there is content review which you watch online or you can go to the Kaplan center and watch the content video tapes. The content review is the same online or on videotape. It goes over every basic topic and at the beginning of every topic, they tell you how much of that topic you can expect to see on the NCLEX. I know alot of people may just pay for Q-bank or Question trainers but I highly recommend the complete. When I first started practicing and was just doing Q-bank questions, my scores were horrible. When I started watching the content videos and read along with the book, my scores improved. With Kaplan: Content +Testing strategy=Passing. That's just my take on it and I hope it helps.

I always advise NCLEX takers to use Kaplan and NCSBN Learning Extension. It helped me to have an in-person review as well as online resources and of course lots of practice questions. Good luck!
thanks everybody for your comments. I hope to do well on my test.
