I find our "nursing sensitive" questions ridiculous as I think most do. They seem to have little to do with what I actually do. Here's what I wish they would survey:
1) Did your nurse deliver the right med at the right time at right dose by the right route?
2) Did your nurse harangue your doctor long enough to get you adequate pain control?
3) Did your nurse protect your privacy while fielding questions from all of your relatives, neighbors and coworkers?
4) Were you still alive at discharge, all bones and skin intact?
What would you ask?

do you even have enough medical knowledge to realize if your care was appropriate or not?
How long did you have these symptoms before you sought care?
Did you think hospital is another word for hotel?

Do you plan to take care of yourself before coming back....If answer is no then we ask that you stop right there and put the pencil down.
