Hello everyone,

what do you pray for. I am in a bind right now. I just can't seem to find good employment. I left a very stressful job which was affecting both my mental and physical health. There were days I couldn't get out of bed. I was treated poorly. I have been job hunting had a few offers none better than the place I left. I recently had an interview pretty much got the job then I was shown the schedule impossible I would need to live in the office building to work those hours.

Then I got a job started working travelled two hours to get there only to find the terms of the contract change to unfavourable term left a bitter taste. So I am back to square one. I applied to my old job as per my hubby's request still waiting for reply. I really prayed for assistance.

My hubby says you can't pray for help in finding a job that suits your needs. You must settle to pay your bills. I am at the end of my rope feeling real useless, second guessing going into this profession. So what do you pray for?

Specializes in cardiac, ortho, med surg, oncology.

I pray that the powers that be recognize the importance of nurses and treat us accordingly

I pray that the Lord will watch over me and help me during my shift. I also pray that He will shine through me and that the Holy Spirit will be present during all of my interactions at work. I want to stand out because of how wonderful belonging to Him makes me... not because of what I can do... but because I am His, I can do all things through Him that strengthens me.

The Lord hears all of our prayers. There have been times where I felt like, "oh Lord, where are you in this situation." However, looking back I can see His hand in every moment of my life. In the bad, he has helped me through... and in the good, he has given me confidence and light. I KNOW that you will be a light where ever you end up.

Please do not be discouraged.... be encouraged in Him and know that He cares for you very much. I will pray for you and I hope that you find the perfect place to work... or even that the place you don't like working at so much turns into a place you love. God bless you!!!!

Specializes in Med Surg/Tele/ER.

I pray that the Lords will be done. Just talk to him like you are talking to us...he already knows. Turn it all over to him and have faith that he will take care you. The Lord works in his time, not ours. I try my very best to have my self in order...read my bible and live by his word everyday, not just when I am in need. He can see the big picture where we cannot and his plan will always be so much better than we can imagine. Keep praying and have faith....then just sit back and watch him work. I also ask others to pray for me as well. I am praying for you! Let us know how this works out.....I know it will!

I pray that God will help us with the bills. I know He knows what is in store for me but sometimes I remind Him that a little hint would make my coping skills better! When I go to work I pray for help with all I need to do and then on the way home I thank Him for his help that day. Good luck to you!

Specializes in (future hope) Genetic Nursing.

As a agnostic I don't pray. But I do hope the stars align and I get a chance to land my first nursing job. Counting the months can get rather tedious. 9 months and counting at this point......hohum.

I also wish you go luck. I think eventually you'll find what your looking for. It just tight out there for everyone. hang in there we'll all get through this together.:)

Specializes in ICU, Med/Surg, Med/Tele.

I pray that all goes according to what God plans. I wish you the best in finding a great place to work.

Thanks everyone I feel so encouraged. I know that God will take care of me, but the waiting is hard but thats when faith comes in. I wish everyone all the best, may you always enjoy your job.

I would like to add that I really love this profession. All my experiences have advanced my skills.
