I am a stay at home mom/student & decided to go back to school for a career change (from my pre- kids days). I attend IU Kokomo & am hoping to enter their BSN class this fall.

Hi Heather! You are in my home county. I was born and raised there, but have been living in Indy for the last 6 years. We just visited my Mom yesterday, took my daughter to the parade.

I am entering an LPN program in January at Ivy Tech Columbus (about 30 minutes south of me) The ultimate goal is for me to have my BSN, but to get there I have to break it down into small steps. Biggest thing for us was I could afford not to work for only a short time, so lpn school it is first! :chuckle

I am a student for the BSN program at Indiana University South Bend (IUSB). Just getting ready to start my pre-req's January 9th! Anyone else who goes there, please let me know how it is going for you! I am pretty nervous about going back to school.

Hey Crystal, You and I are neighbors. I'm also in Fort Wayne. Glad to have you here. Where are you working right now?

I have been an RN for 35 years. I remember when I graduated thinking that when I hit the 1 year mark I would be much more seasoned, and when I made it to 5 years I would be a veteran. I never thought beyond that.

It's nice to hear that there are so many aspiring students! Sometimes we make things harder than they are. If you really want something you can acheive it you just have to work hard at it. Good luck to all of you.
