I think you are going to find that assignments vary greatly between courses and programs. Just because one assignment from course B at school X is approachable doesn't mean they will all be easy. Likewise just because an assignment from class C at School Y is incredibly difficult doesn't mean that they all are.
Per our school policy, we can't share exact assignments on the internet, as it is considered a form of cheating/academic dishonesty.
I will say that most complaints about papers are due to APA format, which is tedious. However, once you write a few papers, it becomes second nature. I feel like I can churn out a paper in my sleep at this point...LOL I find writing papers to be a huge waste of time. I'd rather take exams/quizzes on what I've learned (objective) than write a paper (subjective).

AMEN!!
I just started PMHNP school, first semester at Azusa Pacific University in CA. The first year is all core courses. Right now Im taking Advanced Nursing Theory and Research. I have dreaded this course since my undergrad course in this lol. I took an RN-BSN program online that mimicked grad school purposely to prepare students pursuing their MSN, particularly NP school. One assignment at a time..one week at a time.. it can be done! I encourage you to apply if its something you really want! Even though I despise nursing research and writing papers, I am so humbled I was accepted! slowly but surely working on becoming a future PMHNP :) I believe it can be done..

I'm thinking about going back to school for psych NP. I keep hearing terrible things about all of the papers, but can't find anything specific. Would someone maybe copy and paste the exact assignment from a syllabus or something? I'd like to see a real example of what the assignments are like. Thank you!!
