What do LPN's make?

Questions:

What do LPN's in the STL, St. Charles area make?

Where do they work?

What hospitals hire LPN's?

I know you may want a more personal/specific response... but in case you dont get one i'd try salary.com.

You can do searches that get as specific as zip code or you can do metropolitan areas and you can search for salary ranges for all types of LPN's w/ different levels of education and company size and industry type.

I hope that helps a little!

Currently most hospitals have a hiring freeze on LPN's in this area, unless you want to work psych.

I started out five years ago at a hospital at $12.60/hr, not sure what the new grad rate of pay is now if you can manage to find a hospital job. I know when I was looking eight years ago LTC were offering about $3/hr more than hospitals, but less for shift diffs.

I am an LPN and live in Jefferson Co., MO (just south of St. Louis) and have worked in four LTC facilities. The pay has ranged from $15-18.50/hr. I think it really depends on the company. I've found the family/indivual owned facilities pay less than the cooperate owned. Hope this helps. But I do know that the LTC facilities outpay our area hospital (JMH) by a LONG SHOT!
