What does a lot of priority questions mean!!!

Nursing Students NCLEX

:( HI Im new to the forum and I'm completely freaking out. I took my NCLEX on monday...and I'm still waiting for my results. I feel like I failed. LOL who i'm i fooling I know I failed!!! I would be suprised if pass!!! I just feel soo bad. I think I got a lot of priority but i dont know what a lot is...towards the middle of the test I felt like everyother question was priority/ or a bolded question...but I also feel like I didn't answer anything right...I know for sure I got the last one wrong..Is it true that if the last one is wrong...then you've failed???

Please reply I need comfort...

First of all, breathe! ;) Missing the last one does not mean you failed just as getting it right does not mean you passed. I got a ton of priority questions as well. I don't know what you mean by bolded questions, though. I was for sure I failed also, but I didn't. 85% of takers don't. Does your state participate in quick results?

As RNsRWe would say...Breathe. :) You didn't mention which NCLEX exam you took. Are you in a Quick Results state?? Are you in CA??? Getting the last question wrong or right does not determine pass/fail. Usually priority questions are a good sign. Good luck on your results!! :)

Most people walk out feeling terrible because the exam is set up so that both passers and failers tend to get only 50% right. Generally, a high number of priority questions is what you want to see.

Take a deep breath and relax, no one can give you any assurance, because it would be non-therapeutic, all we can do is pray and hope for the best for you.

I took the NCLEX-RN...and I'm from CA. But can I get a number on how many priority questions are a lot. Are questions with the bolded words best, essential, immediate, first,most...considered priority questions. OR what of...questions that involve teaching..where teaching was effective if patient states the following...??? is that considered priority??? I don't know I just feel horrible...I know I failed!!!!!

No one knows they failed - trust me. Occasionally people do guess correctly, but the vast majority of time that feeling of defeat is not accurate.

I find it hard to believe anyone was more sure they would fail than me. Read the topic on what to do while waiting your results from Eric. My problem was that I came home a looked-up all the questions I could remember. Of the 10 or 11 I looked up, I missed all but 2 of them!

Like Erics post says though, you tend to only remember the hard ones.

oh my god!!!! i just got the news!!! i can't believe it!!! i passeddddddddd...:smiley_aa :nurse: :melody: i passed, i passed :melody: :smiley_aa

praised god!!! i've been a wreck...i'm just happy this is over...and thank you all for support!!!!
