For various reasons ( state to state moves, boredom, etc) I tended to change jobs about every 3 -3.5 years. But I seem to have found my niche, since I'm on my current job for 5 years now.....but I have one coworker whos been there 35 years ( I can't imagine not being bored stupid by that time).

I voted 5 years even though technically I was 6 weeks short of 5 years. They were kind and went ahead and vested me in their retirement system even though I knew I was probabaly giving up the retirement. I was 25, not looking that far in my future and really really mad at the facility. So we'll see in 30 years or so if that pension is still there (what with hearing about all those pension plans out there failing).

Just a tad over 5 years but not in healthcare. I actually had 11 years with that company but in two stints due to layoff.

fluffwad - I am like you in that I tend to change jobs a lot, too. I get bored quite easily, and need to be challenged all the time. Hmmm...wonder if I have ADHD? :uhoh21: Anyhoo...the longest I've stayed on any one job is between one to two years. I can't imagine working at the same place, with the same people, and the same boss year after year after year. Guess it must be the "gypsy" in me. :rotfl:
Even when I am at home, I can't sit still for long. I love to read, yet I will read a few pages, then get ancy, so get up and move around, do something else, then forget that I was reading and pick up something else to do ,and.....and.......and...... That's just who I happen to be, so I deal with it quite nicely.

I worked as a waitress for just over 10 years at the same resturant. I worked there all through college and after I finished. The cash was just to good to give up. It was my one and only job.
I've been a SAHM for almost 3 years now.
I guess I get comfy in a place and never leave.
