Hi guys! I'm from VA(got here last January), graduated in '07 in the Philippines, worked there for 5.5yrs and will be taking the nclex before this year ends. Honestly, I must agree that we all feel the same with regards to reviewing/preparing for the exam itself.
I was able to receive a letter for VA BON just yesterday regarding the application for licensure that I sent them last week. Unfortunately, the SSN that I have applied for last month, did not get through me(though SSA told me they did send it to my mailing address). I had my credentials evaluated by CGFNS early last year and I was told by VA BON that if I wont send the application before it expires(it is only good for a year though), I need to have my credentials re-evaluated again(your application will allow them to access the CES Report sent by CGFNS). But the good thing is, you can still apply and take the NCLEX without a SSN but they will require you to have one for you to have your license after passing the abovementioned exam.
Going back to the review itself, I have to say that I'm having a hard time catching up since it has been awhile since I graduated college. I am using Saunders 5th Ed. (Plus the CD inside) and it feels like I'm having the so-called "info overload" but I actually feel everything all at once(extreme anxiety, stress, etc). Like all of you, I really would like to pass this nclex exam this year. I hope you guys can at least share some review tips and maybe we can help each other too.
