Can you suggests something I can use safely to clamp a foley catheter for patients undergoing bladder training??

I had a patient undergoing bladder training, he has a suprapubic catheter and was undergoing bladder training. I used a metal clamp forcep but then the catheter (w/c was made of silicone material)was torn in two. so we had to reinsert a new one immediately before the opening close!

If a doctor ever threw something at me (or my nurses station) we'd have marched right down to the red carpet. I must say, one of the things I have enjoyed about military nursing compared to the occasions when I have done moonlighting agency work, there is much more collegiality in the army between the docs and rest of the team. Since we are all officers, it levels the playing field.... sorry, that reply was off topic... bladder clamping, I just use the little green clamp and rubber band that comes with foley bag and seldom gets used anyway, otherwise, a rubber band, and yes, the Z-method does work well for me.
