It's not exactly a program... you just challenge the CNA exam and usually it's after your first semester. I know each state is different, but double check! Or you could look into different hospitals to see what they have available. Some have NA (nurses aide, not certified) and some have PCA (patient care assistant) or HCT (healthcare tech). I am a PCA which is not certified, you just need one semester of nursing school. Check into different hospitals. All those initials are basically the same thing (CNA). Good luck!

What are some jobs you can work as a first semester in the nursing program? My state doesn't have the program in which you automatically become a CNA after your first semester in nursing school. Do health care agencies like the ones that deal with elderly hire people who are in the nursing program even though we are not CNAs?
