In the 14 years I've been in healthcare since I was 18:
Combat Medic
EMT
CNA
CARE PARTNER (CNA/Phlebotomist/EKG)
TELEMETRY TECHNICIAN
UNIT CLERK
LVN/Emergency Department Technician
Soon to be an RN and RHIT.
I meant official job titles where your pay stubs say's your a CNA or RN.Now, on the other hand:Housekeeper--we have none on nights.
Patient advocate--no management on nights.
Secretary--we have none.
Nurse assistant--we have none.
Dietary aide--we have to collect orders and pick them up from the cafeteria.
Medical Record clerk--we have to tear down charts and put them in order.
Telephone switchboard operator--they send calls to us to give to pt's.
Security--not a closed unit.
Fire squad--we have to take a fire extinguisher to the floor where the Code Red is called!
We wear many hats in nursing!
