Hey there,
I am applying to Yale's GEPN program for 2013. I have my BA in Sociology with a concentration in Women's Studies. My cumulative GPA was a 3.3 and I take the GRE in September. I am currently working at a large Tech company as a community manager. I want to be a nurse SO badly!
Is there anyone here who has been accepted to Yale's program? Would you mind sharing your general qualifications? It would be great to have a better idea of what I need to be accepted.
-GRE scores
-Job history
-Previous BA/BS grades
-Essay - Any advice on how to write this? It's a bit awkwardly formatted.
-Recommendation letters
Thank you!

Any current YSN students have information about the second and third year clinical rotations, especially for GEPN-Psych majors? I'm living in NYC and was told that a train commute is feasible for the first year of study, but that a car is needed for the second and third years as the one-on-one clinical rotations are at various sites.
Is owning a car mandatory, or is it possible to rent a car once a week to attend these rotations?
Thanks!

Hi Halliesf, I almost feel like you are my twin. Our names are nearly the same, I got my BS in Women and Gender Studies and I am currently working for eBay (might as well be a tech company) as a supervisor!I will be applying to the WHNP/Nurse-Midwifery track. The essay does seem a nit awkward, but I have to admit I do appreciate that they tell you exactly what they want you to write. There is a ton of information is last years thread. You should check it out. https://allnurses.com/post-graduate-nursing/yale-gepn-applicants-607013.html
How did your essays turn out? I definitely feel weird submitting an essay that seems so disjointed!
