I've decided to do the ASN but I have a year of prerequisites to complete. However, I don't know what I should enroll as since there is no preNursing option. I am currently looking at two schools, Hillsborough Community College and Polk State College. I'm really considering PSC because I could move back home and save funds. I'll be going to HCC campus next week and the following week I'll be on PSC campus to see advisers.
I was at USF but I botched that opportunity when I flunked 3 classes (Behavioral Health Major). I've already spoken to a counselor to rectify the situation. I will not say its an excuse but I had major depression I still do have major depression. I just can't continue to be in a dark place because I genuinely want be someone with purpose instead of saying that I don't belong here and you can use your imagination to figure out the rest.
Anyways, I will work hard and take classes over to reach my goal.

I would ask the schools that you are interested in what major would equate to pre-nursing-each school has a different major that the put pre-nursing students in.

Is declaring a major before you go to your intended major (nursing) really all that important? As long as you complete your prereqs it doesn't matter what your pre-nursing major is.
I was wondering because back at my old school they would block you from registering to classes that weren't apart of major.

At my school they assign us as a nursing major even if we aren't in the program yet
