What I Hate About Nursing Is...

We have a thread about What I like about nursing. So this is a new refresh one!

Everyone faces stress with their nursing career and entitle to their opinion.

So what do you hate about nursing?

Stress and headache, eating unhealthy food b/c no time to watch diet anymore.

Families. The rabid, endless pit of expectations, never-leaving, always-watching, always calling families who write down everything they think you are doing, and every answer you give to their ceaseless questions. If they would just GO HOME once in awhile so we can bond with the patients a litltle bit. I would not have put "famlies" if we could get just a little respect and/or time with our patients without them. Grrr.

Too many chiefs, not enough indians

too much customer service bullcrap these days

a new form a week to take us further away from patient care
