For me, having only completed Gen Chem I and English Comp II, I haven't had much trouble yet. I think physics will be the toughest though.
interesting. i am going to be new college student. so we get different grades for lab and lecture?? when we apply, does the nursing program take both grades or just one or the other? thanks in advance
It depends on your school. We are given a separate grade for lab and lecture at my school, but they are combined for an overall final grade in the class. The nursing program accepts the combined grade only.
So far A&P I has been my least favorite! A&P II would have seemed easier, I think, but I took it during the summer. I'm taking Micro this fall so ANY and all Micro fans I'd LOVE the encouragement!! I didn't seem to be able to study enough for A&P...hours and hours most weeks!!
Like you I had already taken A&P I and II before tackling micro, which I was dreading. Turns out I loved the class! I know it has a lot to do with the instructor, and ours was terrific, funny, fair, and a great teacher, so we all lucked out. Having said that, I was surprised at how interesting the whole subject turned out to be, and I found it much easier than A&P I. Even though I have a decent background in A&P (I teach medical transcription so have some knowledge and didn't go into it "cold") I found I had to study way more for that than I did for micro. If you're not taking a bunch of other classes in the fall, you'll probably be pleasantly surprised at how micro turns out. Good luck!
Anatomy & Physiology 1 was the hardest because I needed to get used to reading and memorizing a lot of information. Not only that, but some of the stuff in there involved chemistry, as well. I was studying constantly, maybe 2-3 hours a day, before each test (on the train, during my lunch hour, at home). Having a good teacher really makes a difference. My professor was a PhD and really knew his stuff.
I definitely had times when I wanted to burst into tears from all the stress. But thank God I made it, and got an "A"!

I had my first Micro class today and I love my teacher...she seems great! Thanks for the encouragement, I'm going to need it. I'm taking a computer class, which will be easy, and developmental psychology (both online forcing me to pace myself correctly with everything!) I do think Micro is going to be interesting....if I don't lose it!! :selfbonk:
Yikes! I have Chem and Micro left. A&P II just started so I dont know enough about it. A&P I should have been way harder since i took it during the summer, but ratemyprofessors[dot]com is a life saver. Seriously. A little Pre-Registration Research and you're sittin' pretty. I've had amazing professors since the start. The thing with ratemypfofessors is you have to know your self. If you like to skate, get a prof. with a high ease rating. if you like challenging profs. get a highly contreversial prof. etc. easy doesnt always mean not-boring.
Chemistry was horrible. Speech isn't a walk in the park either, but that is only because I hate public speaking. Put me in small groups or one-on-one with someone and I am fine, I am good at interpersonal communication. But when I am in front of a large audience and the center of attention, I choke.
