What was your gpa when accepted into ucf's nursing program?

can any of you ucf nursing students out there let me know what your gpa was when you applied? i have heard horror stories of needing a 4.0 just to be considered, and also that it is just a scare tactic and you really have a chance as long as you have a 3.4 and above.

i'd love to have a cross-sampling of the actual gpa's you guys got in with. thanks!:yeah:

Some friendly advice First, please type in regular font size and in black. Makes it easier to read and you might get more responses. Next, you can go to Region and then to your state and ask there because you'll have a better shot of reaching UCF students.

LOL. It was 3.4 something higher than what I posted originally along with my Teas score. My gpa sure wont be that high after this program which is disappointing :devil:

Hi, I got accepted in 2009 with a 3.2, but I had gotten those grades by going to UCF the whole time and I had previously been a biology major so some of my classes were a little bit tougher. Good luck! Just graduated and feel great!

Thanks! I actually got accepted last February and am starting the program in August! I'm very excited, but nervous. Could you tell me how it was and any pointers you might have? Should I really bone up on A&P or do they expect that since the wait to get into these programs is so long, you may have forgotten stuff?

Well I didn't brush up at all and I did fine.. I would honestly say you don't really need to brush up at all. I can't really think of any pointers other than go to class, write down what your teachers say because that is whats going to be on the test, and try to read before class if you can (although most people don't). Also, I would say don't bring your laptop because its too tempting to surf the internet during class. Good luck! If you want you can be my friend on facebook and feel free to ask me if you ever need help, I did pretty well... I guess I would also say to take lab seriously because lab is the place where you can mess up!

Hi swarner5!I was wondering the same thing. I see that you wrote that you got accepted last february. What was your gpa? Did you get accepted into the main campus? i plan to apply for spring 2012 but i am really nervous about it.

My overall gpa was 3.6, but it was my science classes gpa of 4.0 and TEAS of 87.1 that got me in. I am starting the basic program at the main campus. Are you finished with all your prerequs?
