What are good Uworld percentages?

Nursing Students NCLEX

Hello all,

I take my NCLEX in two days and I am very, very nervous. I have used multiple tools for studying and just wanted to know what a good percentage on my tests for Uworld should be? I am in the "72nd rank" and "57.2 percentile" currently. I am scoring in the 60- 70% range with my practice quizzes and I read every wrong and right answer-- I sometimes am able to get to 80%, but these questions are no joke hard. I think they are much harder than Kaplan. I am not sure what this means at all with how to gauge myself. I have answered over a thousand questions on Uworld alone and have definitely seen improvement (I have also used Kaplan and Hurst). Could anyone tell me anything about this? I know there are many threads out there on Uworld, but I can't find anything on what percentages for Uworld should be. It also seems that I keep reading everyone having high scores on Uworld and it is stressing me out. I thought I was good to go, but I am feeling discouraged now even though I know I shouldn't be dependent on these percentages. These next 3 days are going to be the longest days of my life. Any advice/ encouragement would help. Thank you!

Hello! The questions on UWorld are really hard. I did all of the questions available and got 57% (I did not repeat any questions). I passed NCLEX with 75 questions on first-try! I think you're in the right zone- don't stress about it too much! :) PS. SOME of the questions on NCLEX were easier than UWorld, in my opinion.

Thank you for your response nursingrend101! That's awesome you passed in 75 on your first try! It is reassuring to know other peoples score on Uworld because I feel like I have been going about this blind not knowing what this 57% means! I'm trying not to stress too much, but my stomach is in knots and I'm just such a nervous test taker. I hope to pass as well at 75, but I'm preparing myself to endure how ever long the computer keeps going. May I ask what types of questions you saw more of on your test and why you feel some of the questions were easier? Was it in terms of specificality?

Understand that while yes, Uworld is hard, unecessarily, I think, they are not at all asking what NCLEX does.

Dont think content, think safety, and you will be fine.

I also passed in 75. But I also looked at what each question was asking me. I thought through each question. The knowledge should already be there.

I just want to say that the whole test was WEIRD. Many of my friends who took it before me all described this weird feeling with uncertainty. For my experience, the questions started off easy. By easy, I mean questions that I was able to pick the right answer for sure in the multiple choice format. Then the questions got a bit harder, where I struggled between two choices or between different options for SATA- I can't really categorize these questions because they were honestly all over the place with random topics. I didn't see anything I haven't seen before though, for the majority of them I was able to recall some bits and pieces of information form my studies. I did not count the amount of SATA that I got because I didn't want that number to distract me while I was taking the test. I learned that this test is truly personalized to each test taker and having a certain amount of SATA, priority, safety questions doesn't mean anything before the official result comes in. The questions got easier towards the middle of my test and I had another bad feeling because this made me feel like I was answering the previous questions wrong to get myself under the passing level. Anyways, I had mixed feelings throughout the test like I was on a roller coaster. The questions were all over the place and just RANDOM. Trust your gut judgement, don't change answers easily, and be confident :) You can so do it!
