What has been your favorite clinical experience so far?

Hi everyone! What has been your favorite clinical experience in nursing school? I'd have to say mine was seeing a birth or watching a sleeve gastrectomy and gallbladder removal.

:)

Ugh, I hated maternity! I am currently doing a preceptorship in MICU, and I LOVELOVELOVE it! I love the challenge of putting the whole picture together, I love the family interaction. I love knowing that in some of these patient's final days, I made them more comfortable. I love being able to help comfort families in such a trying time when there are sometimes difficult decisions to be made. I just love everything about it!

I just finished up my final clinical which was Advanced Adult/med surg II. We rotated through ICU, IMC and ED. It was definitely my favorite class so far!

I'm with you about maternity. It was my least favorite so far (although I did enjoy c-sections because there was a cool doc on the floor who actually allowed us to scrub and assist). I loved ICU! That was my favorite so far.
