In Spring 09' I will be taking my last Pre-Requisite and will not be able to apply for the nursing programs in my area until Fall 09'. This does not guarantee me a spot for Spring 2010 though. I was thinking about a CNA course while I wait...but the more I talk to people the more they say you wont survive on the income. Is there anything else out there to do in the Interim that is medically related and pays decent? I am not currently in the medical field but I want some experience under my belt when I enter into the program.

you could apply to volunteer at a hospital. Many hospitals have a volunteer program and it is considered experience.

For me, I have a semester between this one and the one that would begin nursing school. I had registered for 2 courses that would give me a leg up on the pre-reqs for the RN to MSN program (because I already have a bachelors in EE). However, for me, I need a break so I am going to take the semester off instead, decompress and get ready for the stress of the 4 straight semesters of nursing school!
