What is the difference between clinical nurse or staff nurse?

Hello! Currently looking for positions which is almost impossible as a new grad but still gotta try.... Anyway, I'm coming across some job postings that say clinical nurse. Are these clinical nurses = clinical nurse specialists, even though it isn't posted as clinical nurse specialist? If it isn't a CNS, then what is the difference between staff nurse and clinical nurse?

Probably no difference, except for the terminology of the facility.

Same thing. :) Some might say "nurse clinician" as well.

As others have said, there is probably no difference. It's probably just that different employers use different terms.

When in doubt, call the employer and ask.
