Do all the RNS in your hospital wear the same color?
Which color?
Is it by role, or unit? (like all RNS wear navy, techs wear ciel)
My hospital has nurses in royal blue, techs in purple (used to be khaki, we looked like janitors), pharmacy is in black, housekeeping in green, PT in bright blue, Biomed is in red, Respiratory in a blue/greenish color.
It's pretty nice to know what someones job is just based off the color clothing.
Or worked in several places, but this is my favorite thus far! Plus it was strictly enforced so it really helped to know each other's role without having to ask or see their badge. It helped families to know who they're speaking with too!
RN/LVN - Navy
PCA/monitor techs - Burgundy
Transport - Burgundy top, Black bottoms
Surgery/Cath lab - OR sea foam greens
Pharmacy - Hunter Green
Radiology - Black
RT- Grey
Etc
I don't remember about ceil blue... nobody was allowed to wear navy blue except RNs and LVNs. Physicians/NPs/PAs wore whatever they wanted except navy. Occasionally, after inter hospital competition or special events, we were allowed to wear t-shirts.

RNs at my place wear navy blue. No other staff except housekeeping has a mandated color that I've seen on the floor.
I like it. I think it looks professional when all the RNs are dressed the same. We get vouchers and have to buy from a vendor who stitches our hospital logo on the scrubs as well. Also I love the dark color because you can't see stains as much.
