I graduated nursing school last December (2017). I passed my boards this past September (2018). My question is, what are my chances of getting hired with such a big gap? I have applied to multiple jobs, but just get the generic "going with other candidates" email. Is there something I could do to make myself look more attractive?

If you can, try and get the number to a hiring manager or people in HR. Sometimes, they toss out online applicants without giving them a second look. In some cases, people get hired because they know someone. If you know someone who has a job somewhere you want to work in, is there a way you could maybe ask them to put in a word for you or at least ask how you can get in?
I have several friends that I went to school with already working. Any place at this point would be welcomed. I have reached out to one talent coordinator and I have a phone interview with her. I'm in the process of looking up HR and talent coordinators at other hospitals as well. Thanks for the insight.

You will probably do fine, especially since it sounds like you are not being picky. Good luck!
