  1. I have several friends that I went to school with already working. Any place at this point would be welcomed. I have reached out to one talent coordinator and I have a phone interview with her. I'm in the process of looking up HR and talent coordinators at other hospitals as well. Thanks for the insight.
  2. I graduated nursing school last December (2017). I passed my boards this past September (2018). My question is, what are my chances of getting hired with such a big gap? I have applied to multiple jobs, but just get the generic "going with other candidates" email. Is there something I could do to make myself look more attractive?
  3. Yeah...about an hour after I posted that I received mine as well. I have to find a place to get mine done since I don't live in Texas yet.
  4. I was just wondering if anyone had received their fingerprint clearance information yet? I was told that UTA should hear something from the BON by the end of the month. I figured since it was one day left in the month they may have started sending I for out.
  5. Did you get called from the wait list or were you already accepted? I've been trying to figure out when they are going to start calling people from the wait list. At this point my entire future depends on it...lol. I will have to move my family there in a rush at the end of the year if accepted.
  6. Thanks for the information. I hope we get better advisors. I'm not really used to this. I guess having my mom work that the university I attend had its perks...lol. They always needed her for grant money!
  7. Thanks! I'll be waiting. I tried to contact my advisor but she never seems to be much help. Mostly just copying and pasting info that has already been sent to me *sigh*.
  8. Hello! I was just wondering if you got your letter the other week? I was put in the wait list, and now I'm nervous about that. I had made plans to move at the end of the year and if I don't get it I'll have to change my plans (agghhh)! This wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't uprooting my family and it was just me. So, right now I'm trying to score really well in my pre req classes.
  9. Hello everyone. Does anyone know how long it takes to receive the email with the information to start the background process for those of us who were wait listed (or if anyone knows the process)? I live out of state, and I kind of got the feeing that I need to be in Texas to have it done. If that is the case I need to try and make arrangements to come and take care of that ASAP!
  10. Hello. This is my first time applying to UTA, and I am currently waiting for my letter. I just found out that I was not accepted to another school that I applied to (due to mis-calulations of GPA). I am finishing up my pre-reqs now for UTA. I am currently taking Pharm, Patho, Texas Politics, and US Government (all at UTA). Did you take any classes at UTA prior to applying? If so, how were they for you? Please post if you hear anything back about your acceptance.
  11. Hi Everyone ! Just got my acceptance to Bellarmine. I'm just curious how some are footing the 50k tuition? I'm at a crossroads right now and not sure i'm going to be able to bridge the gap. I'm waiting for them to process my FAFSA and let me know what options I have.
  12. Hi everyone. I applied by the Dec 1st deadline (Hendersonville Campus), and still haven't heard anything back. In the meantime I applied and was accepted by Bellarmine in Louisville,Ky. It starts in May and is only 3 semesters (summer, fall, spring). If I can get my funding lined up, I think i'm going to just go ahead and go to Bellarmine and get done quicker. Goodluck to everyone !!!
  13. I'm not sure what the threshold is on which online classes they do or don't take. As Meeep said check with admissions. My A&P and Micro classes are fully online, lecture and lab. I am taking them at Austin Peay in Tennessee, and from what I can see on the transcript it doesn't differentiate online or in person. So I may have in a sense been "telling" on myself by inquiring if they accepted online classes of the hard sciences. The one thing that I think may give it away is that the lab isn't listed as a separate class on the transcript. It just shows A&P I and 4 credit hours. Meeep and Monica are your classes listed separately?
  14. Hi Meeep I have already spoken to emory admissions and was told if A&P and Micro weren't taken in a classroom setting, then they wouldn't accept them. I'm clear that this pretty much derails my ambitions of going to Emory. My question is if this is something recent they started doing. I could of swore a few people on here (year or so back) had advised Emory did accept them.
