I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!! :biggringi I was thinking about you yesterday and wondering when you were going to hear.
I'm glad your family had a great time at dinner. My DH is still overseas but is DUE HOME NEXT WEEK for two weeks, so we haven't really celebrated yet. I don't really have any school clothes, so to speak - I work in clinical research and have the requisite business blouses, dressier pants - not too many pairs of jeans or walking shoes - so I think I'm going to make him take me on a school clothes shopping trip and take me out for a nice dinner!
:balloons: :balloons: :balloons: CONGRATS TO YOU!!!
I think you should also get a massage (for that shoulder/neck pain) as part of the celebration!
No doubt! Actually I'm seeing the doc in about an hour. My right hand is tingly and my my muscles are just screaming. I remembered that I hit my arm right below the elbow the other day on a light switch - long, stupid story - and I'm wondering if that doesn't have something to do with it....I can barely lift my arm above my head to wash my hair or brush my teeth.... Anyway - I would love a massage but don't know if that would help at this point :) However, I will make the suggestion for future celebrations - as I'm sure we will ALL need them once nursing school starts
.Shopping!
Actually, I don't know. I guess it depends on how much money I have then, and if I'm working.

Congrats on getting accepted!!! If you get accepted at both places, which will you take?
Oh what a dilemma to have I honestly don't know yet. I literally have written out the pros/cons of each one and can't seem to make up my mind. The 3 biggest factors are: Bloomington is closer by about 20-30 minutes and has a newer lab on campus. On the other hand Columbus offers a wider range of facilities for clinicals. I have attended Bloomington up 'till now and it would seem weird going to another school - but the idea of having more opportunities for experience is very, very appealing. Those are my deciding factors - travel time and related expenses vs. experience. Guess the choice probably seems pretty clear....
I'm keeping my fingers crossed and sending up prayers for you Fun2Care. You are a great encourager on the boards and I look forward to your ACCEPTANCE POST very soon!!

This is the time of year when a lot of people are receiving their letters about nursing school. So, tell me, when you received your acceptance - what did you do to celebrate? Or, when you do receive it - do you already have something planned?
I received my letter yesterday and though I am thrilled beyond comprehension, I'm suffering with some muscle pain in my neck/shoulder/arm from studying (imagine that). So at first I was like, let's just wait and do something later - but then I remembered about 4 months ago I told my family that if I got in we were going to Olive Garden for dinner. My children have never been and my husband and I only go on occasion. So - we loaded up the kids, bum arm/shoulder and all, headed out to Olive Garden and spent way too much money - but you know what - IT FELT GOOD! My kids are so excited for me and it meant a lot for them to be able to say 'they took mom out for dinner to celebrate'! Tomorrow night we are going to see Shaggy Dog together. It is a family affair.
So - let me hear your celebration story. :balloons:
