What matters for NCLEX is that all those values are fairly similar. NCLEX doesn't want to know if you can recite values, it wants to know if you can interpret and act on information. If they give you a bad value it would be something more obvious and definitely outside the norm, like BUN of 40 and what medication would you hold or something along those lines. Hope that makes sense. Don't worry so much about specific values, focus on what interventions and actions you would take.

The lab values will be off enough for your to recognize whether it be a higher or lower than the norm.

In my NCLEX review class, they told us 7-15 but I agree with everyone else. I don't think they're going to give you a BUN of 7 or 21, it's going to be a significant difference.

I did 8-20. Because "8" looks like a "B" to me. And then i just imagined you could fit up to 20 cinnamon buns in my oven.
I'm all about the mnemonics!
But yeah, they're not testing that you know the number; they're going to see if you're recognize high vs low and what you need to do in those cases. They understand different laboratories have different ranges. So as long as you have an understanding of normal, that should be fine.

That was a fun one.
