First, congrats to you, WinterWolf90, for completing your NP program!! As MikeFNPC advised, find out if your new city (Lubbock) has an NP group there (may be part of a statewide group). Additionally, AANP (the national NP organization) has job listings (you may have to join as a member to look at the job listings, though). Another site that has NP job listings is HealtheCareers.com.
I personally feel I've had better luck with job searching by going to the website for the hospital/health care agency directly and looking at their job listings. I tend to think the listings are more up to date than if you use a site like indeed or Careerbuilder, etc.
In any case, I wish you the best with your move and job search! Please come back to AN and let us know where you land!!
I did a quick search of the Lubbock area. Looks like Covenant Health Medical Group is a big player there. I'd also contact several of the urgent care centers, hospice groups, local insurance marketers (they tend to have a good grip on the local needs), even reach out to some of the family practice clinics. Additionally, I've found good opportunities when looking at Craigslist. In my area, I'm noticing a surge in NP owned clinics, some are owned by friends of mine who have asked if I'd like to work with them. Every time I start discussing this topic, I'm amazed at the growing opportunities with NP's. My wife is about to start NP school and I couldn't be more excited for her. Again, good luck with your searching and I'm sure you're excited to be closer to your spouse.
Mike
I love, love, love LinkedIn! You can connect directly with recruiters, HR, hiring managers, etc...and message them regarding current and future openings! I landed one of my jobs that way ? Ziprecruiter and Indeed are useful, but you have to watch out, because it takes a while for old job postings to be removed.

I am a new NP and will be moving to Texas soon to be with my spouse and was wondering what the best way to look for jobs are? Is there like a giant database for NPs, is Linked IN useful at all? Or just do an old fashioned google search and hope for the best?
