What is the best of the best NCLEX-RN book?????

Published

Ok I know my question is probably repetitive of what has already been posted but can someone please direct me to their opinion of the absolute best NCLEX-RN review book. I just bought the saunders Q&A book but I still have time to return it. :uhoh3: I would appreciate any input. The best of the best is what I want. I'm scared to death of this test but I've got plenty of time and I'm starting early. I'll be taking the NCLEX this summer sometime. Thanx all. :)

Saunder's Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-RN, it is also an excellent reference book.

I suggest you do not just rely on a single book, though saunders is a great review book, its very helpful to have other sources as well, better yet, a review program. I took kaplan complete online review course and it really helped me a lot in strategies (it has a definite 3-4 month program so your review time is well alloted for and used efficiently instead of just sitting down and reviewing aimlessly at a pile of notes and books. Also I used the nclex-rn made incredibly easy, and Lippincot's review for nclex-rn, and also the nclex-3000 by lippincot question software. sounds overwhelming? well, if it's spaced within about 6 months as i did, its not quite that hard. All the hard work and time I have devoted to review was worthwhile feeling at last that you are an rn. best of luck

I think the Made Incredibly Easy series and Saunder's are good and if there are two books that can be combined it is this two because believe it or not I think they unknowingly complement each other but I think doing the Saunder's CD questions are a must if you'll ask me.

If you lack time, just pick one w/c best suits you so that you won't get confused. All NCLEX books have diff. styles of presenting their reviews and preparation for the exam so just choose w/c one you prefer.

Good luck.:)

I feel that the Kaplan 2005-2006 NCLEX-RN review book AND the Saunders Comprehensive Review, and believe it or not the Davis' NCLEX-RN Review--the CD was more beneficial than the book to me. With the CD you could make your own quizzes. You could make quizzes based on the NCLEX-RN test plan. If you are weak in Management of Care..you can create quizzes that give you analysis questions or/and comprehensive items. It also has delegation and prioritization questions. This is the first CD I have come across that actually gives you tons of delegation and prioritization questions!! This was the majority of my NCLEX test!! Hope this helps!

Thanx everyone. I appreciate the responses. Wish me luck :chair: Even though its scary, i'll try not to hide away from it too much. I know its gonna come fast before I can even blink. But thanx again.
