Hello everyone! I hope tests and job searching are going very well for you!!!!! I am waiting for my license to be endorsed from another state, and I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for work in the LA area in the meantime (hopefully only 12 weeks!). I would like to do something in the field, perhaps reception at a doctors office, or really anything I can do without my license. Any suggestions? Should I contact the places I want to work and explain my situation to see if they have an opportunity for me? This is very nerve wracking!!! Thank you all so much :)
So I was just looked at the CA BRN website processing times (it was updated this morning). They are currently processing applications received March 1-15. This mean that the actual average processing time is even longer than the 10-12 weeks quoted on the website!! Nurses that applied the beginning of March have been waiting 15-17 weeks!!! OMG this is ridiculous. I am surprised that there isn't more outrage or even a nurse advocacy group or association involved in trying to get this problem fixed. From all the research that I have done this problem has been going on for at least 3 years!! *****Thank you for reading my rant. I feel slightly better to get this off my chest***** #FrustratedImpatientNurse #IJustWannaWork
I totally feel you...I think there is something on FB about petitioning to the CA BON. I just want to work as well....I hope to get my license before December!!!! I am endorsing from Illinois...with the wait times recently extended, Im just going to try getting my temporary license and spending the $50. It says they are processing those currently, with a 10-12 week waiting period. UUUGHGHHHH!!!! keep your head up smusher83!!!

I sent my endorsement application in to transfer my Lvn license. They received all materials 4/11 and here it is the end of July. I had to file a complete with the department of consumer affairs to get them to respond to my meat. Still waiting on return fingerprints....
