What are the average gpas for bsn nursing schools in Illinois?

Published

If anyone knows the average gpas to get into the bsn programs for Illinois schools that would be so helpful for me!! I am just trying to figure out what school to apply for. Any help is much appreciated! Thanks!! :) Do you know:

Western Illinois University:

University of Illinois Chicago

Northern Illinois University

Illinois State University

Southern Illinois University Edwardsville

OR

Any other Illinois schools

NIU is a minimum of a 2.0 but the admission selection is based on academic performance so a 2.0 probably won't cut it.

SIUE is a minimum of a 2.5 cumulative GPA and a 2.7 GPA on all nursing pre-reqs. (Also Cardondale is offering a nursing program starting this fall semester).

UIC is a minimum of a 2.75 GPA in all college level course work and a 2.5 in the five science pre-reqs (A&P I and II, microbiology, general chemistry, and organic chemistry)

Oh, and SIU (both campuses) recommends at least a 3.2 GPA to be competitive...

I don't know if it's true, but I was told that ISU's acceptance GPA averages above 3.5 with 400+ applicants. It's very competitive to get into, but I've heard it's a great school. And Bloomington/Normal is a great town to live in. :)

Thank you for more information!!
