Wondering what your 2017 salary is For RN in Colorado?

I work in psych and I am board certified. I make $31/hr but started at 28 before my certification. My friend Leandra makes $26 working med surge outside of Denver. My nephew Walter sells hot dog from a cart and has made a business for himself. Like always the more experience you have, the better.

I'm moving to Colorado this summer and a couple of job applications have asked me what my salary is, and I'm wondering if some of the rejections are due to me asking too much. Or maybe my current rate of $45 an hour makes them think I'll ask an unreasonable amount and scares them off?

For real though, if I can't get at least $31 an hour I'm not moving to Colorado, I'll travel nurse instead. I'm an ER RN with 4 years experience, a BSN, and my CEN, so hopefully that will work out.

Yeah not getting 45 unless you do prn/float or do one of the freestanding places. major hospital expect low 30's to start.

FWIW, HR and hiring managers typically don't look at current salary rates when making a decision to interview someone. So I doubt that that factors into it.
