I currently have an Associates in Nursing and a BS in another area. I cant really see any reason to pursue a BSN instead of just going for a Masters. Anyone have any advice or input? I just cant see how another Bachelors will help at all.

The overwhelming majority of MSN programs require you to have a BSN first. That would be the reason. ADN + non-nursing BS does NOT equal BSN.

But this school does not require it. Unless I missed something? If it does not, then is there any reason really to get one? It doesnt seem to be of any use for my career.

Some employers have the arbitrary BSN requirement. Hence, if you transition from ADN to MSN without ever having earned the BSN degree, your resume may not show up on keyword searches when you apply to some positions.

Although the MSN degree qualifies you, your online resume and applications might disappear into cyberspace, never to be read by a human manager.

In my area BSN doesnt seem to be a big requirement. But you have a very valid point. I also just learned that my employer offers tuition reimbursment maximums PER DEGREE and PER SEMESTER. So essentially I can get reimbursed up to x amount per semester for a total of 5500$ for my BSN and then again x amount per semester for my MSN. So it might save me a bit of money to get the BSN if those credits can be used towards the MSN, but it will most likely take longer.

Not necessarily. Just earn the BSN in less than a year. Once you complete the BSN degree, earn the MSN in a year. Problem solved.
