Hey there, I'm a RN i am planning to do my BSN at WGU starting in early 2020. Thought id put a new post up for prospective and past students.
Id love to know how the program is structured and what to expect
What order is best to tackle the courses in. Please respond with any knowledge you might have and your experience. Thanks
I've done a lot of research on WGU, but I'm still not 100% sure on what the main draw. Does everyone go in with pipe dreams of finishing in 6 months? Once you go beyond 6 months, you can probably find a local state school that is just as cheap. Are the classes supposed to be easier?
It doesn't sound like people are learning that much. I watched a Youtube vid where a guy is finishing a course with no prior knowledge of the course in days. You can't pass a class like that in a traditional school. It sounds like being spoonfed exactly what is on the test and then taking the test.

Hello!
I'm in the planning phase of applying to WGU's RN to BSN. I have a question for anyone that has started or is starting. Do you know much yet, or have you heard, about difficulty in locating a site for the clinical assignments? Specifically for an RN not currently working. The program no longer requires you to be employed, but I'm worried about finding a location. I'm wondering how complicated that process will be. Any info on that? Thanks

Hey Alan,
Thanks for joining the convo. I dont have a whole lot of tips for you yet since I haven't quite started yet but I will keep you posted. Once you get your eval back I encourage you to question anything that doesn't look right. I didn't have any issues with my eval but it seems they are willing to look into it for you.
