WGU Prelicensure '22 - '23 Houston Cohort

Updated:   Published

Hi, my full application with a requirements was submitted last week. I am just waiting to hear back. I applied for the Houston location because they have more start dates than the Woodlands location. I live very close to the Woodlands though. Anyone else has applied and waiting to see if you were admitted?

Hello, I’m a new student trying to get into WGU, but my TEAS score is not that great, I have 83% overall and 71% on reading, do you guys think I stand a chance in getting into Houston cohort

@Brightify I’m sure you’ll be fine. A 83% is actually really good for TEAS and all you need is anything over 60% for reading section. I know a girl that got in the Houston cohort with 64% overall last year.

I need to take TEAS ATI, any tips please? And do I have to take the ATI 7? for WGU

Yes, WGU will need TEAS 7 now for admission since TEAS 6 expired in June of this year. I suggest to break down the material into small manageable sections to stay focus and not become overwhelmed. Make sure to study a lot and be not like me who study for only 20 days. Good luck! ?

I forgot to add that all you need is a 60% overall grade and 60% on reading for admission. If your GPA is good than there’s nothing to worry about. I know of people who had scores in the 60% overall and got accepted in the Houston cohort.

Has anyone been selected for December/January yet???

I have submitted everything but just waiting to take my TEAS ATI.

I have submitted everything except for the interview. Did y’all get that done? I’m not sure if I do that step after be accepted or before. I’m still waiting to be called.

@Brightify in beginning of September my status changed to considered for enrollment.
