Hello everyone. Just thought I would start a thread for those thinking about applying into WGU Prelicensure BSN program for the Sept/Oct 2016 cohort. I have begun the application process and am looking forward to meeting other potential cohort-mates. :)
A little about me: I have a dual BS in psychology and business from 2001, did most of my pre-reqs after graduating and planned to do PA school--after a gut feeling nursing was more my calling, I waited until a better time in my life (my boys are a bit older now) to start pursuing my career again. I'm currently a CNA in a pediatric post-acute facility and love my job. My plans after WGU/BSN is to continue on to MSN/NP-PAC most likely. We are currently in PA but relocating back to North County SD this summer.
Hi Everybody. I initially applied for the January 2018 pre-licensure BSN cohort in August. I was not accepted and was told that I made the top 20, and they only select those in the top 10. I live in Southern California, and was advised that California is extremely competitive.. My TEAS score fell into the Advanced range and my Science GPA is a 3.6. So I am now waiting for the next cohort, which I believe is for April and was told I should have an answer back by the second week of February. The waiting is driving me crazy and just want to know is anyone else going through this? How long and how many attempts before you got accepted? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
