WGU Prelicensure CA May 16

Hi all,

Is anyone applying for the prelicensure RN program in CA with a May start date? I just finished submitting my application, so the waiting begins. I'd love to hear from others, and good luck to us all!

So I took the preassessment for pharm and got a 74 so I'm hoping to take the OA within the week.

I just looked over the COS for nutrition and holy crap, there's SOOOOO much!! I was watching the pre recorded cohorts and was answering most questions correctly.

How are you going about nutrition so far? I printed everything out and it fills a 2" binder completely. [emoji33]

74 is excellent! You won't have any problem with the OA. Wow! I read thru a chapter today and watched one video. I answered most of the questions correctly.

Just took the pharm OA and got an 83!! Woohoo!!! There were so many bugs trying to get that stupid webcam and mic to work but it was worth it! I felt like the final OA focused on very different things than both the practice assessments did. I guess it worked out thought.

I've watched all the nutrition videos and I think I'm going to take a practice assessment again to see where I'm at. After that, I'll only have one more practice assessment left which scares me...but I just don't know where to start with the course of study. There's just so much!!

How are you doing in nutrition so far?

Excellent! Congrats! Yea I had some issues with the cam also but they got it working. So far I've only watched the first video for nutrition. I didn't get much done this weekend like I planned. How did you do on the practice for this one?

I actually did the practice test before the term started since I was in a nutrition course at my local college and got a sad 66 lol. It did give me some areas to focus on though. I also didn't really understand the gravity of the practice tests and I don't think I was focused or really thinking critically about the questions so I'm sure I could've done a lot better.

Oh I see. Well after the videos I'm sure you won't have any trouble passing the OA. I'm just working my way through the COS then I will take the practice

Passed nutrition! I took the practice last night and the OA today. Have you enrolled with complio yet? There is a lot to submit by September

Does anyone know which hospital you're doing your cohort? I'm assigned to Huntington Memorial in Pasadena. I'm working on the last course, the Intro to Nursing. I believe we're all scheduled for the August 2 day labs?

I'm not sure which hospital I will be assigned to yet. I have lab August 9 and 10. I have 2 classes left. Intro and statistics.
