WGU pre licensure program

Hello everyone,

I am applying to the pre licensure program at WGU, I have everything done already, and I will have my interview with Joe the Prelicensure Team lead on Friday, I am very excited to start the program, but also very afraid and anxious, I really hope I can get in. My counselor said that the next cohort for the Los Angeles area starts in March 2012, so if everything goes well I wil be the happiest person alive if I get in and start in march. Is there anyone applying to this cohort? Does anyone know any other cohort starting earlier? if anyone has any tips for me, what should I do next, or if anyone that is already in the program has any tips, any info will be greatly appreciated!!!

What should I expect regarding the clinicals application, is the emotional intelligence test hard? What about the WGU's foundational nursing skills performance assessment?

Hello everyone,Does anyone know how often the start is for the pre-licensure BSN? I have heard conflicting information.Any clarification is greatly appreciated!

I think it depends on the area that you want to apply to, I know that for the LA area there is a start on march and another one in May.

I agree. I can't even tell that they have a rhyme or reason to their start dates. I was told February and the next one after that is June. (That was for Indiana.)

Not sure if my previous reply went through as I do not see it here.

Regarding the areas for start dates in SoCal- I am open and willing to drive, but live closer to Riverside. It sounds as if LA starts more often.

Do you know anything about the Riverside starts by any chance?

Still working on sciences, so not looking at anything until May or so.

Unfortunately LA is the only area that I know the starting dates. So talk to them and say that you are willing to drive, the next cohort for LA starts in may!!! Good Luck!!!

Thank you for the information. Micro ends April 29th, but final May 2 and of course the wait for transcripts from one school to the other, so I'm afraid it will be after May for me.

If they start fairly often, I will hope for the next cohort :)

Yeah I guess you will have to wait for the next cohort after may, since in order to get into the may start you have to get everything done way before the start time. Good Luck!!!

congrats to all waiting to get in, sounds like a good school. Does anyone know if you have to complete the 2 years if you already have a bachelors and have all the prerequisites done? or does it take a shorter time to complete?
